Argentina's Kidney Bean Exports Open On Easy Note
PANAMA - Apr 30/24 - SNS -- Argentina's exports of kidney beans in February posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month, according to data from Instituto Nacional de Estadistica y Censos.
Total exports for the month reached 10,256 metric tons (MT), down 27% from the previous month's total of 14,056. So far export sales have totalled 24,312 MT, down from 53,240 in the same period the last calendar year.
The latest movement data showed Turkey was most important buyer, buying 2,036 MT. Italy was the second most important consumer buying 1,866 MT, followed by Brazil at 1,212 MT.
Ukraine's Sunflower Seed Exports Start With Weak Tone
PANAMA - Apr 30/24 - SNS -- At this point in the current calendar year with a weaker tendency, with sunflower seed exports for Ukraine were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in February, judging from trade statistics from Ukraine Statistics Service.
Exports totalled 24,512 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 54% from the 53,229 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 77,741 MT, compared to 359,925 in the same period the last calendar year.
Netherlands was the largest importer, buying 9,888 MT. Turkey was the second most important buyer receiving 9,379 MT, followed by Bulgaria at 2,580 MT.
