Turkey's Field Pea Imports Open On Soft Note
PANAMA - Apr 30/24 - SNS -- Imports of field peas for Turkey posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month in February, official data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Imports totalled 27,906 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 39% from the 45,778 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 73,684 MT, versus 83,119 during the previous calendar year.
Recent movement data showed Russia was biggest export origin, supplying 17,017 MT for the month. Ukraine was the second most important export origin selling 8,753 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 1,714 MT.
