Field Pea Exports From Turkey Start With Strong Tone
PANAMA - Apr 30/24 - SNS -- Turkey's export shipments of field peas in February rose sharply, leaping compared to the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total shipments during the month amounted to 68,847 metric tons (MT), up 221% from the previous month's total of 21,462. So far exports have amounted to 90,309 MT, up from 48,208 during the last calendar year.
The latest movement statistics revealed India was most important buyer, receiving 40,856 MT. Iraq was the second most important buyer taking 11,211 MT, followed by United States at 6,912 MT.
