WASHINGTON - Mar 28/24 - SNS -- Area expected to be planted to sugarbeets for the 2024 crop year is estimated at 1.13 million acres, down 1% from 2023, according to the USDA's seeding intentions report.
Planting intentions are expected to be the lowest since 2018. Intended acreage in North Dakota is expected to be down 7% this season when compared with last year.
