Lentil Imports By Turkey Post Soft Performance

PANAMA - Apr 30/24 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of lentils during February fell compared to the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports for the month totalled 55,562 metric tons (MT), down from 111,746 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 167,308, up 11% last year.

Kazakhstan was the biggest export origin, shipping 32,555 MT. Canada was the second most important shipper shipping 12,340 MT, followed by Russia at 10,125 MT.
