Mustard Remains Volatile

PANAMA - Apr 19/24 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets remained unusually volatile during the past week, with limited demand buying from growers reported in western Canada.

Activity reflected short covering by processors and exporters as well as reluctant grower participation.

The week ended with markets for No 1 grade, farmers dressed yellow mustard delivered western Canadian processing plants advancing 8%, while brown and oriental were nominally unchanged on the week.
