Lentil Exports From Turkey Record Soft Performance
PANAMA - Apr 30/24 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year amanagedan easier performance, with lentil shipments from Turkey were well down, plunging relative to the previous month in February, according to statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total shipments in the month reached 36,801 metric tons (MT), down 34% from the previous month's total of 55,385. So far export sales have totalled 92,186 MT, up from 89,870 during the previous calendar year.
During the month, Algeria was the biggest importer, receiving 9,075 MT. Sudan was the second most important destination receiving 6,592 MT, followed by Egypt at 3,877 MT.
