Ukraine's Sunflower Seed Exports Start With Weak Tone

PANAMA - Apr 30/24 - SNS -- At this point in the current calendar year with a weaker tendency, with sunflower seed exports for Ukraine were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in February, judging from trade statistics from Ukraine Statistics Service.

Exports totalled 24,512 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 54% from the 53,229 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 77,741 MT, compared to 359,925 in the same period the last calendar year.

Netherlands was the largest importer, buying 9,888 MT. Turkey was the second most important buyer receiving 9,379 MT, followed by Bulgaria at 2,580 MT.
