Chickpea Imports By Turkey Open With Firm Tone
PANAMA - Apr 30/24 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year on their a firmer tendency, with chickpea imports for Turkey jumped relative to the previous month in February, according to the most recent statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total imports throughout the month reached 33,860 metric tons (MT), up 29% from the previous month's total of 26,331. So far imports have amounted to 60,191 MT, up from 40,949 during the last calendar year.
During the month, Russia was the top shipper, selling 20,904 MT. Canada was the second most important export origin shipping 7,041 MT, followed by United States at 2,373 MT.
