WASHINGTON -- Oct 11/95 -- USDA -- Dry Edible Beans production is forecast at 30.6 million cwt, 5% below the August 1 forecast but 5% above 1994.

WASHINGTON -- Oct 11/95 -- USDA -- Production of lentils is estimated at 1.93 million cwt, up 4% from last year but 4% below 1993. Harvested area, at 143,000 acres, was down 20% from last year and the same as two years ago.
- Sunflower Seed Production Falls 5%
WASHINGTON -- Oct 11/95 -- USDA -- Sunflower production in the United States is forecast at 4.57 billion pounds in 1995, 5% below the 1994 crop but 78% above 1993.

VANCOUVER -- Oct 11/95 -- STAT -- Dry edible bean production continues to look like it will rise over last year, but the latest crop production estimates from the USDA paint a bullish outlook for some varieties.

MOSCOW, ID -- Oct 23/95 -- Green pea production reached record levels this summer, with harvests in Washington, Idaho and Oregon nearly doubling to 162,890 MT of alaska green peas and 8,765 MT of small sieve green peas.

VANCOUVER -- Oct 23/95 -- STAT -- Canadian canaryseed bids were generally higher at the grower level today, with two companies advancing their official bids to CDN $26 cwt for farmeres dressed product delivered to western Canadian processing plants. The recent, sharp decline in the value of the Canadian dollar when expressed in U.S. currency made it easier for processors to offer growers more.
