CARMAN -- August 195 -- MANITOBA AGRICULTURE -- Warm, dry and windy weather prevailed during the week in the southern part of Manitoba. Spotty thundershowers provided 0.4 - 1.0 inch (10 - 25 mm) of rainfall in a few areas. Crops in many areas are showing drought effects. Hail damage was reported in the Deloraine, Elgin and Wawanesa areas.
VANCOUVER -- Aug 195 -- STAT -- Early yield estimates from Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food painted a mixed picture for Canadian specialty crop markets. Yields are expected to be close to average for most crops, despite huge differences among regions.

REGINA -- Aug 995 -- Dry conditions across Saskatchewan pulled most crops in the province to nearly the same level of development as last year, according to the latest crop report from Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food.
KANSAS CITY -- Aug 995 -- The USDA Kansas City Commodity Office today bought 1,580 MT of dry edible beans for shipment as food aid between September 6 - 20, Septebmer 21 - October 5, and October 6 - 20, 1995.

LEHAVRE -- Aug 1695 -- Holland's mixed feed industry does not expect to see any delinines in usage of wheat and other grains in livestock feed rations in the August-September 1995 period, according to reports from the U.S. agricultural attache here.
VIENNA -- Aug 1695 -- The latest projections from the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture Agricultural Market Regulation Office (ARE) for sunflowerseed puts production at 750,000 MT and planted area at 400,000 hectares. (MOA estimates tend to be on the high side, and we are forecasting output at 740,000 MT.) The Hungarian crushing industry has apparently signed contracts for 420,000 MT of the high oil content crop, with most of the rest of the crop destined for export.
