Bulk Lentil Export Pace Improving

PANAMA - Nov 8/15 - SNS -- Canadian green lentil markets pushed deeper in record price territory during the past week, helped by continued weakness in the Canadian dollar, which gives companies more room to pay farmers.

New record high prices were recorded for both medium and large green Canadian lentils. Bids for red lentils are also on an upward trajectory, but remain below their record highs.

Grower markets are also helped by the fact there has been a marked improvement in movement of bulk lentils through the licensed elevator system into export positions.
