Lentil Unchanged in Modest Demand

VANCOUVER - Feb 25/12 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week mostly unchanged against limited end user buying interest.

This reflects the fact that pulse markets were more focussed on chickpeas and dry edible beans, where there was ongoing trading activity.

Market confidence has been improving, however, against assertions most of the lentils carried over from 2010 in Canada have been sold as livestock feed or to end users who believe they can turn them into a usable product.
