Seasonally Light Trade in Lentils

VANCOUVER - Jul 8/11 - SNS -- Lentil finished the week's trading under seasonally light trading conditions, with many processors in both the United States and Canada unwilling to offer new crop product.

Their main concern is that a large percentage of the crop was seeded late in both countries, increasing the risk of yield and quality losses.

Widespread problems may not materialize if weather conditions are dry and warm through the remainder of the growing season and harvest period.
