New Crop Lentils More Bullish
VANCOUVER - Jun 10/11 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, with bullish sentiment building in new crop markets even as old crop inventories in Canada weighed on buyer sentiment.
Importers remain worried about Canadian lentil quality and fearful offgrade merchandise from the 2010 crop will be blended into the coming harvest.
However, processors and exporters report interest in bulk shipments of No 3 and sample grade lentils seems to have improved.
