Australia's Lentils Exports Start With Strong Note
PANAMA - Apr 5/24 - SNS -- Movement of lentilss from Australia recorded major gains, soaring versus the previous month in February, recent data from Australia Bureau of Statistics shows.
Movement for the month totalled 128,620 metric tons (MT), up from 80,134 MT the prior month. This lifted exports so far during the marketing year to 558,415, up 10% last year.
Recent trade statistics revealed India was largest importer, taking 68,431 MT in the month. Pakistan was the second most important consumer receiving 28,383 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 14,949 MT.
