Canada's Lentil Exports Start With Soft Note

PANAMA - Apr 4/24 - SNS -- Canada's shipments of lentils during February dropped compared to the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.

Total shipments for the month amounted to 103,887 metric tons (MT), down 13% from the previous month's total of 118,901. So far export sales have reached 1,071,599 MT, down from 1,417,090 during the previous marketing year.

India was the largest consumer for the month, receiving 42,265 MT. United States was the second most important destination taking 9,651 MT, followed by Colombia at 6,551 MT.
