Lentil Exports From Canada Post A Firm Result
PANAMA - Mar 7/24 - SNS -- Are beginning the current marketing year recorded a a stronger performance, with lentil exports for Canada made modest gains, advancing relative to the previous month in January, according to the most recent data from Statistics Canada.
The latest data showed export sales for the month totalled 118,892 metric tons (MT), up 1% from 117,266 the previous month. Versus the same month last year, shipments are down 22% from 1,241,573 MT.
During the month, United Arab Emirates was the number one importer, buying 33,126 MT. India was the second most important consumer receiving 16,093 MT, followed by Turkey at 10,833 MT.
