Lentils Exports From Australia Post Soft Opening
PANAMA - Mar 7/24 - SNS -- Export shipments of lentilss from Australia shrank compared to the previous month in January, data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reveals.
The latest statistics showed export sales for the month totalled 87,056 metric tons (MT), down 62% from 230,652 the previous month. Versus the same month last year, exports were up 41% from 310,641 MT.
The most recent movement data showed India was biggest buyer, receiving 42,709 MT. Egypt was the second most important destination buying 17,182 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 10,641 MT.
