Canada's Lentil Exports Continue Easy Tone

PANAMA - Feb 7/24 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year extended a easier trend, with lentil shipments from Canada fell relative to the previous month in December, according to available statistics from Statistics Canada.

Shipments totalled 117,251 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 53% from the 249,641 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 848,147 MT, compared to 1,075,696 in the same period the previous marketing year.

In the month, India was the largest importer, buying 23,374 MT. Algeria was the second most important importer buying 19,531 MT, followed by Turkey at 10,145 MT.
