Lentils Exports From Australia Maintain Strong Trend
PANAMA - Feb 5/24 - SNS -- Export shipments of lentilss for Australia showed major improvement, jumping versus the previous month in December, recent data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.
Export sales reached 237,346 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 99% from the 119,134 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 356,479 MT, compared to 188,202 in the same period the previous marketing year.
Recent trade data revealed India was biggest destination, receiving 152,407 MT for the month. Other was the second most important destination taking 27,149 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 22,204 MT.
