Lentil Imports By Turkey Continue Solid Trend

PANAMA - Jan 30/24 - SNS -- So far during this calendar year are keeping up their firmer performance, with lentil imports for Turkey rocketed relative to the previous month in November, according to official data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports during the month reached 82,681 metric tons (MT), up from 36,693 MT the prior month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 827,852, up 80% last year.

Current movement data reported Canada was number one origin, selling 43,785 MT in the month. Russia was the second most important origin shipping 24,611 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 14,009 MT.
