Lentil Exports From Turkey Sustain Solid Trend
PANAMA - Jan 30/24 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils from Turkey showed modest gains, advancing compared to the previous month in November, the latest data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Export sales for the month reached 54,727 metric tons (MT), up from 49,832 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the calendar year to 505,745, up 19% last year.
Recent trade statistics reported Algeria was top destination, taking 18,671 MT during the month. Iraq was the second most important destination receiving 12,402 MT, followed by Sudan at 2,448 MT.
