Canada's Lentil Exports Post Better Performance
PANAMA - Jan 9/24 - SNS -- Exports of lentils for Canada jumped relative to the previous month in November, the most recent data from Statistics Canada reports.
Movement totalled 249,635 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 25% from the 198,985 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 696,452 MT, compared to 840,298 in the same period the last marketing year.
India was the largest importer during the month, buying 109,194 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important importer buying 28,658 MT, followed by Turkey at 24,528 MT.
