PANAMA - Jan 30/23 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year are keeping up their stronger performance, with red lentil imports for Turkey leapt relative to the previous month in November, judging from the most recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports totalled 98,604 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 545% from the 15,278 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 427,162 MT, compared to 413,528 during the previous calendar year.
In the month, Canada was the largest exporter, selling 75,130 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important origin shipping 17,262 MT, followed by Russia at 6,099 MT.
