Lentil Exports From Turkey Continue Firm Tone
PANAMA - Jan 30/23 - SNS -- Movement of lentils from Turkey moved up a little compared to the previous month in November, data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Total movement throughout the month reached 48,187 metric tons (MT), up 3% from the previous month's total of 47,003. So far movement has totalled 425,262 MT, up from 268,929 during the last calendar year.
In the month, Iraq was the largest buyer, buying 14,509 MT. Egypt was the second most important importer buying 6,457 MT, followed by Algeria at 4,449 MT.
