Few Changes Noted In Lentils

PANAMA - Jun 3/22 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading little changed in spot shipping positions, but with some firmness evident in the early fall shipping period because of concerns about the yield potential in parts of the growing area.

Seeding of this year's crop was wrapping up in Canada and most of the United States during the past week. On the other hand concerns about yields persist in parts of the United States and Canada because of dry soil conditions.

The week ended with some optimism markets could see an increase in demand from the Indian subcontinent throughout the coming marketing year.
