Australia's Lentils Exports Start With Firm Note
PANAMA - Mar 8/22 - SNS -- Export shipments of lentilss from Australia leapt compared to the previous month in January, the latest data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reveals.
Exports for the opening month of the marketing year totalled 137,977 metric tons (MT), up 170% from 51,090 MT the previous month. The statistics revealed movement was up 2% from the 225,880 MT reported in the same month last year.
The most recent trade data showed Bangladesh was top importer, buying 84,696 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important consumer taking 20,720 MT, followed by India at 11,630 MT.
