VANCOUVER - Aug 2/21 - STAT -- Canadian No 3 Red Lentil markets finished the 2021-22 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 30% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 3 Red Lentil was CDN$22.80 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $17.60 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $26.50 per cwt in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $18.40 per cwt in August.
