No 2 Red Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 2/21 - STAT -- Canadian No 2 Red Lentil markets finished the 2021-22 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 26% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 2 Red Lentil was CDN$30.19 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $24.04 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $35.60 per cwt in May, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $25.60 per cwt in August.
