Turkey's Lentil Exports Post Improved Performance
PANAMA - Nov 18/21 - SNS -- Export shipments of lentils for Turkey showed huge improvement, leaping versus the previous month in September, trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Export sales during the month reached 34,282 metric tons (MT), up from 17,326 MT the previous month. This increased export sales so far during the calendar year to 214,006, down 33% last year.
Iraq was the top buyer, taking 13,217 MT. Algeria was the second most important destination buying 2,764 MT, followed by Sudan at 2,533 MT.
