Turkey's Lentil Imports Record A Improved Performance

PANAMA - Jun 2/21 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year posted a a better result, with lentil imports for Turkey made significant advances, moving upward compared to the previous month in March, judging from recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Total imports throughout the month amounted to 41,982 metric tons (MT), up 25% from the previous month's total of 33,659. So far imports have amounted to 116,635 MT, down from 169,634 in the same period the previous calendar year.

The top supplier throughout the month was Canada, shipping 21,766 MT. Australia was the second most important export origin supplying 18,978 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 589 MT.
