Mixed Sentiment in Lentils
PANAMA - Mar 19/21 - SNS -- International lentil markets maintained their relatively firm tone through the past week, though weakness is starting to be detected for some classes.
Though movement of Canadian lentils through the middle of March is better than during the same period last year, markets are increasingly concerned about demand prospects for the balance of the calendar year.
Reports of unsold inventories in some destination ports and expectations demand will return to 2019 levels is creating some tension in markets.
