Canada's Red Lentil Exports Manage Soft Performance
PANAMA - Mar 5/21 - SNS -- Canada's movement of red lentils in January fell versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
The latest statistics showed export sales for the month totalled 50,613 metric tons (MT), down 42% from 87,739 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, movement were up 34% from 586,554 MT.
The most important destination throughout the month was United Arab Emirates, buying 24,982 MT. India was the second most important buyer receiving 7,621 MT, followed by Turkey at 7,070 MT.
