Canada's Green Lentil Exports Manage Easy Month
PANAMA - Mar 5/21 - SNS -- Shipments of green lentils from Canada sank relative to the previous month in January, recent data from Statistics Canada reports.
Export sales during the opening month of the marketing year totalled 26,777 metric tons (MT), down 33% from 39,702 MT the previous month. The statistics showed export sales is up 38% from the 184,322 MT recorded in the same month last year.
Algeria was the most important importer during the month, taking 2,997 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important destination taking 2,385 MT, followed by China at 2,301 MT.
