Lentil Exports From Turkey Reveal Soft Performance

PANAMA - Feb 19/21 - SNS -- Turkey's exports of lentils during December eased compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Export sales during the month reached 27,856 metric tons (MT), down from 30,436 MT the previous month. This boosted shipments so far during the calendar year to 407,346, up 60% last year.

In the month, Iraq was the most important buyer, receiving 6,421 MT. Egypt was the second most important buyer buying 3,316 MT, followed by Sudan at 2,500 MT.
