Lentils Exports From Australia Maintain Solid Performance

PANAMA - Nov 5/20 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year are keeping up a firmer trend, with lentils exports from Australia were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month in September, according to the most recent data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.

Movement for the month totalled 32,707 metric tons (MT), up from 23,264 MT the previous month. This boosted exports so far during the marketing year to 637,397, up 86% last year.

The largest importer during the month was India, receiving 8,654 MT. Sri Lanka was the second most important importer taking 7,005 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 6,246 MT.
