Canada's Red Lentil Exports Sustain Solid Tone

PANAMA - Nov 4/20 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year are maintaining a firmer performance, with red lentil exports from Canada showed minorimprovement, inching up relative to the previous month in September, according to the latest statistics from Statistics Canada.

Export sales totalled 258,966 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 1% from the 16,028 MT shipped the previous month. Export sales so far total 274,994 MT, versus 230,634 in the same period the last marketing year.

In the month, Turkey was the most important consumer, taking 98,557 MT. India was the second most important consumer taking 93,264 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 38,764 MT.
