Lentil Exports From Canada Record Soft Performance
PANAMA - Sep 3/20 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils from Canada were little changed, dropping versus the previous month in July, data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Total shipments throughout the month amounted to 301,327 metric tons (MT), down 11% from the previous month's total of 338,857. So far shipments have reached 2,863,024 MT, up from 2,034,104 during the last marketing year.
Recent trade statistics reported India was largest importer, receiving 126,427 MT in the month. Turkey was the second most important destination receiving 31,731 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 26,534 MT.
