Red Lentil Exports From Canada Record Soft Performance
PANAMA - Sep 3/20 - SNS -- Export shipments of red lentils from Canada dropped compared to the previous month in July, data from Statistics Canada reports.
Exports reached 174,848 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 14% from the 203,748 MT shipped the previous month. Shipments so far total 1,755,771 MT, versus 1,234,718 in the same period the last marketing year.
Current movement data reported India was top buyer, buying 95,747 MT in the month. Turkey was the second most important consumer buying 30,900 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 20,438 MT.
