Australia's Lentils Exports Continue Firm Performance
PANAMA - Jul 2/20 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year are keeping up their stronger tone, with lentils movement from Australia jumped compared to the previous month in May, according to available data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total movement in the month amounted to 72,191 metric tons (MT), up 36% from the previous month's total of 52,962. So far movement has reached 470,090 MT, up from 145,008 in the same period the last marketing year.
Bangladesh was the largest importer during the month, buying 45,530 MT. Sri Lanka was the second most important consumer receiving 9,644 MT, followed by India at 6,568 MT.
