Lentil Exports From Canada Reveal Soft Month
PANAMA - Jun 4/20 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of lentils in April were little changed, dropping versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Exports for the month reached 231,489 metric tons (MT), down from 268,300 MT the previous month. This lifted exports so far during the marketing year to 1,768,992, up 21% last year.
The most recent movement statistics revealed Turkey was top destination, taking 71,382 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer buying 24,048 MT, followed by India at 23,633 MT.
