Green Lentil Exports From Canada Extend Weak Trend
PANAMA - Dec 5/19 - SNS -- At this point in the current marketing year kept up a softer trend, with green lentil export shipments for Canada dropped relative to the previous month in October, according to the most recent statistics from Statistics Canada.
Movement during the month totalled 28,009 metric tons (MT), down from 29,128 MT the prior month. This boosted movement so far during the marketing year to 98,495, down 26% last year.
Algeria was the number one importer, receiving 5,966 MT. India was the second most important consumer buying 3,318 MT, followed by Morocco at 3,071 MT.
