Red Lentil Exports From Canada Maintain Solid Performance
PANAMA - Aug 2/19 - SNS -- Exports of red lentils for Canada posted decent increases, moving compared to the previous month in June, the most recent data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Total exports in the month reached 129,179 metric tons (MT), up 19% from the previous month's total of 108,893. So far shipments have totalled 1,119,620 MT, up from 691,970 during the last marketing year.
India was the top destination, receiving 83,661 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important consumer buying 20,777 MT, followed by Pakistan at 9,428 MT.
