VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian No 3 Laird Lentil markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers advancing 5% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 3 Laird Lentil was CDN$34.88 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $33.12 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $46.00 per cwt in January, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $21.00 per cwt in July.
