PANAMA - Oct 25/15 - SNS -- Prices paid to Canadian farmers for green lentils soared to record high levels during the past week.

Weakness in the Canadian dollar combined with rising export trading levels to propel grower markets sharply higher.

The impact of the weak Canadian dollar on prices paid to farmers is obvious when recalling that inter-dealer markets are not at record levels.
