VANCOUVER - Aug 9/15 - SNS -- International lentil markets are making the transition into new crop pricing now that the harvest is underway in both Canada and the United States.
The week started with an estimated 2% of Saskatchewans lentil crop in the bin, compared to around 24% of the U.S. crop.
Processors in both countries have started buying new crop product from farmers, though initial deliveries were slowed by the need to reduce moisture levels in harvested product.
