No 1 Richlea Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/15 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Richlea Lentil markets finished the 2014-15 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 39% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 Richlea Lentil was CDN$34.67 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $24.97 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $40.80 per cwt in May, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $21.20 per cwt in August.
