Lentils Steady to Firmer

VANCOUVER - Apr 18/15 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note in front of the coming seeding intentions estimates from Statistics Canada.

Currency played a role in setting trading levels on the week, with gains in the value of the Canadian dollar having more impact on export asking prices than bids to farmers.

Importers report asking prices for lentils finished the week on a firm note, with most exporters withdrawn from offering No 1 Canada product.
