Birdseeds Unchanged to Firmer
VANCOUVER - Oct 25/14 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week unchanged to firmer in under relatively light trading interest.
White proso millet and canaryseed were mainly unchanged, while oil-type sunflower markets advanced.
Commenting on conditions in the United States, the National Sunflower Association said, "The weather forecast for sunflower production areas looks to be favorable with above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation in the next two weeks which should aid in harvest. The market will continue to follow weather patterns, harvest progress and yield reports in the near term."
